About

About SJPDS

Since 1965, St. John’s Parish Day School in Ellicott City, Md., has been providing the highest quality Episcopal education for children. We educate children with a stimulating and challenging academic curriculum in a culturally and economically diverse community. By creating a safe and nurturing environment for students to grow and learn, we help them reach their full potential and nurture their individual gifts.

At St. John’s, we provide an atmosphere that fosters spiritual grounding in the Christian tradition with respect for the dignity and beliefs of every human being. We promote an open, affirming, and inclusive community.

We are growing confident, compassionate, bright young students who understand the importance of living a purpose-driven life. We promote the concepts of responsible global citizenship and active stewardship for the natural world, and we celebrate our status as a Maryland Green School. Our innovative curriculum and methodology, as well as our exceptional care and nurturing of every student, ensures that our graduates will go on to attend the best independent and public schools in the region.
