Frankie and SJPDS on WMAR
St. John’s Parish Day School was featured on WMAR-2 news with a special report on our beloved therapy dog, Frankie! Frankie is our school’s 3-legged pug mix who came to us with our new Head of School, Mr. Springer. Frankie was found on the streets of L.A. after being hit by a car and having one of her front legs amputated. In the past year, Frankie has been an integral part of creating a safe, comforting, and loving environment at SJPDS! Our students come to visit her daily, bring her gifts, and look forward to her classroom visits!
Frankie is a sweet-mannered little dog with a whole lot of personality. Her physical difference has no effect on her speed and mobility, but it has been a huge lesson in love and acceptance at our school. Our students have learned through Frankie that our differences make us beautiful and that everyone, no matter what, is deserving of love. Check out our girl on the news in the video clip below!
