Last week, Third- and Fourth-graders had a Genre Book Tasting in the Media Center. Our wonderful chef (and Librarian), Mrs. Moulding, taught our students about 10 different Book Genres: Mystery, Adventure, Historical Non-fiction, Humor, Fantasy, Realistic Fiction, Spooky, Animal, Sports, and Science Fiction.

Students then spun the wheel and randomly selected a genre to “taste”. Each student walked around the “restaurant”, sampled different books from each genre, and discovered new interests! It was a wonderful way to learn about new genres, sample new tastes, and discover new adventures!
