For the last day of our SJPDS Spirit Week, our students. (and staff!) participate in a walk-a-thon called the Walk for Wamunyu. Our students raise money in the form of pledges and walk or run laps around our open spaces on campus. Each lap earns them money and this year our students did an amazing job! With just our Walk for Wamunyu, we were able to raise over $12,000 for educational programs and benefits for the Wamunyu community!

Kenya Connect is our Global Outreach Partner that provides education, technology, supplies, and necessary items for children and members of the community in Wamunyu, a town in Kenya.
"Kenya Connect has focused on providing a variety of programs to enhance the education of the rural students and teachers. The ultimate goal is to provide access to educational and technology programs that might not be available to them because of where they live and that will allow them to succeed in the future." - KC Website
They have built libraries, sent students to coding camps, helped provide children with school supplies and technology, and so much more. We are proud to partner with them to make the dream of education a reality for these incredible students and couldn't do it without the support of our community!
