Interdisciplinary Learning in 4th Grade

Fourth Grade Integrates Science, Technology and Art!

Fourth Grade continues delivering an interdisciplinary curriculum through Distance Learning. They adopted a sloth by contributing to the World Wildlife Fund as they learned what environmental engineers and conservationists do in their Science classes. Students used their technology skills to digitally present their research over Zoom classes. Their endeavors were further supported by a local business, Pinot’s Palette in Ellicott City, whose manager generously donated supplies and instruction so that the students could learn how to paint a sloth with their Art Teacher, also via Zoom. Integrating Science with Technology and Art helps to embed new knowledge in the minds of growing students.

As a Green School, St. John’s Parish Day School strives to teach students about the impact that they can have on the global community. St. John’s would like to give a special thank you to Pinot’s Palette in Ellicott City and wish the best for their local business. Thank you Pinot’s Palette for supporting St. John’s Parish Day School even at a time when business is difficult for you. Our fourth-grade students’ Distance Learning experience was enhanced by your generosity.
