“I learned about St. John’s from a friend. When I drove on campus during a camp session, I saw happy and excited campers and leaders. I was in awe when I saw the magnificent church! However, what I quickly learned was the warm, welcoming and great educators that work at St. John’s. I feel very fortunate to be among them.

As a child, I would come home from school, proceed to the basement, and PLAY school! As long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I have taught various grades in an elementary school and worked as an administrator in a middle school.

During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, Will age 13 and Travis age 9. They love to fish, hunt, cook, and play basketball. Now I’m not a fisherman or hunter, but do enjoy watching sports! I also enjoy cooking and baking with them.” Mrs. Cartwright holds a Masters in Education and Supervision from Bowie State University.
